  The UPSC CSE Exam is conducted in three stages: Prelims, Mains and Interview. For the Mains Exam, the candidate is required to choose one optional subject and that subject can make a significant difference.   For UPSC aspirants, the decision to take an optional subject is a deeply ingrained situation.
